我记得写过这个帖子的，不过翻了翻居然没有。下面是我对Twin Cities电影院的总结评价，供大家参考。

 

最经典的: Landmark Uptown, 只有一厅，所有电影只放一周

 

艺术电影: Landmark Uptown, Landmark Lagoon, Landmark Edina, 学院奖一般都产生在这几个电影院放的电影里面。

 

最多放映厅: Lakeville(21厅,较远), Regal Brooklyn Center(20厅, 较近), Carmike Oakdale (20厅, 较近)

 

3D: 除了AMC Mall of America和Kerasotes Block E (原Crown Block E) 外的几乎所有大电影院, 最近的是AMC Rosedale

 

好电影最集中的现代影院(除了Landmark): AMC Eden Prairie,  Regal Brooklyn Center, Marcus Oakdale,  AMC Southdale,  Carmike Mouds View, Carmike Oakdale，Willow Creek, Kerasotes Coon Rapids, AMC Arbor Lakes。

 

IMAX: Great Clips Apple Valley

 

去过的最好的屏幕和音效: Marcus Oakdale (尤其是Ultra Screen, 很赞)

 

最有都市氛围的: Kerasotes Block E (原Crown Block E), downtown, 地下车库，二楼有Apple Bee等。

 

最佳Seating: Regal Brooklyn Center

 

最差的Seating和音效: AMC Mall of Ameria, 除Landmark Uptown以外去过的唯一一家不是Stadium Seating的电影院

 

最贵的Parking: Landmark Uptown & Lanmark Lagoon, 他们俩一个停车场，一般都要3.75$

 

饿。

不想吃饭。

于是更饿。

雪，是冬天明州永恒的主题。

梦里的温存，似乎仍在心里流淌。茫茫然看着窗外白茫茫的一片，我忽然明白了，"白茫茫"这个词的重点并不在白，而是在于茫茫。

我不断放大那一点点仅存的梦里带来的体温，试图嘲笑外面的严寒。却发现，温暖如此短暂，很快我的心也变得茫茫，白茫茫的一片。

应该被嘲笑的，是我。

雪地里重复着别人的脚印。我在想，还好有人走过，否则我会觉得很孤独。

孤独，是一种久违的感觉。孤独，是世界上最善解人意的伙伴，你一想，他就来。

有孤独陪伴，人是否会变得不再孤独？

我喜欢这样悖论的句子，就如同我喜欢看各种各样的图片，那是与生俱来的毒瘾，戒不掉，也不想戒。

即便是再毒一些也好。

很久很久以前，我喜欢用这样的句子:"微风习习，渗过透明的玻璃，轻抚着他的心坎。" 也许是这个极冷的地方教会了我，有些时候，风会把你的心卷走，你看着它在风里打转，结冰，跌落，被雪掩埋，然后被铲雪机搅碎。

冬天来了，春天还会远么？

这句话真是可笑，很多地方，原本没有春天。冬天来了，春天当然会远，而且可能是无穷远。

看不到春天的我，是否还应该心存期待。

也许，无穷远的地方，才是最诱人的风景。

A hard-charging John Thain is shrinking bonuses at Merrill Lynch (MER - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr - Rating) as the new chief executive tries to repair what departed CEO Stanley O'Neal set asunder.

CNBC reports that bonuses at the firm will probably be significantly slashed to help manage the billions in projected losses resulting from bad bets on mortgage securities.

A Merrill spokeswoman declined to comment on the report.

Some speculate that writedowns at the firm, known to insiders as Mother Merrill, may be as large as $6 billion in the fourth quarter. That would bring the total writedowns to whopping $14 billion. It would also match the much larger Citigroup's (C - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr - Rating) expected $14 billion writedown tally.

Merrill is about one-third the size of Citi, but it beat out the larger firm in underwriting risky mortgage-tainted securities known as collateralized debt obligations.

Merrill's fixed-income unit, where much of the mortgage paper was fashioned, is likely to be the hardest hit by any scaling back in bonuses -- a move that will certainly draw the ire of its staffers.

On arrival, Thain was expected to consider overhauling or scaling back the New York-based investment bank's fixed-income platform, so bonuses may not be the only thing to shrink.

 

Merrill Lynch has been the moniker employees have used to describe a firm that fostered growth, promoted from within and supported its employers even in hard times. Unfortunately, it seems Mother Merrill may have to provide some tough love in letting go at least a portion of its staff to appease shareholders who have suffered as the firm has been upended by the mortgage woes.

Lately, Thain has been busy establishing a new team at Merrill, raiding his old firm NYSE Euronext (NYX - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr - Rating). He hired NYSE CFO Nelson Chai to be his new finance chief and NYSE communications pro Margaret Tutwiler to take on a similar role at Merrill.

我太强了，除了几个没上映的，几乎都看过。

我就觉得这个No Country for Old Men, Michael Clayton和Eastern Promises是最有希望的，呵呵。不过我觉得Lust, Caution比Eastern Promises好啊。

最佳女主角的这几部电影也太差了吧。除了那个没上映的Atonement, 其他的都太了了了，而且也都没进最佳电影提名。今年的好电影似乎都没有女主角啊， 都是讲男人自己的事情，No Country for Old Men是两个男人的追踪，Michael Clayton似乎没有老婆，也没有女朋友, 里面就只有一个坏女人，那个女的好坏阿。Eastern Promises倒是Viggo跟那个女的有些暧昧，不过最后感情这方面也没有什么发展, 最后Viggo继续做自己的无间道工作，那个女的收养了小孩继续过平民生活。 American Gangster里也没有什么感情戏，Denzel从认识他老婆到结婚是一瞬间的事，后来自始至终就觉得这个女的对他到底是干什么的一无所知，也不闻不问。其他的包括3:10 to Yuma, The Assisanation of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford也是如出一辙。其实In the Valley of Elah里面Charlize的出场镜头还是很多的，可惜这部电影居然一项提名都没有，是我感觉很意外的。

Across the Universe这种烂片也能提名最佳Musical, 里面的人好做作啊。看得我都受不了了。Gone Baby Gone才拿了一项提名，欺负人家新手啊。

动画片就这几个比，Ratatouille拿定了啊。

真不爽，一直没下雪，突然开始下就变成天天了。下雪就懒得开车，貌似公交车也少了，然后就懒得出门，还好我有地下车库，车不至于被埋在雪里要铲出来，哈哈，鄙视一下露天停车的人们。

天冷了就更加懒得回家吃饭，于是中饭晚饭都天天在外面吃，学校附近的中餐馆实在吃够了，我现在已经觉得apple bee比中餐好吃了，鄙视一下自己。新开的那家"忘不了"过了新鲜感以后觉得也很一般，尤其是面条做的跟HK noodles的一样, 汤里不知道加了什么料，吃完了就觉得口干。不过他们家可以唱K还是不错的，我还没去试过呢。

长志11号就要回国了，所以我的Florida计划随之取消，想想其实也没什么好玩的，虽然我很怨念orlando的outlet和Mall at Millenia，还想去Bal Harbor一趟，看看全美第一个要超过$2000 per square foot的shopping center，看看Oscar De La Renta, Loro Piana, Tory Burch的专卖店。最近越来越觉得Florida很fancy, 东西又好又全。想想自己在Florida的时候啥都不懂，而且一年也只能去一两次orlando, 甚是可怜。不过不出游可以省好多钱，呵呵。

想想以后要是能在orlando, miami这种生活也挺好的，不会像美国的其他地方一醒过来就看到破房子旧铁轨，而且也有城市的感觉，shopping的选择比SF多，规划不像LA那么乱，没有那么多破的地方。不过就是在那种地方找不到工作。我是很讨厌加州大农村的了，San Jose, Orange County这种地方我可能一辈子也不会喜欢。大学城更加是想都不要想了，其实我也不是说一定要做点什么事，就是觉得窝在一个村子里巨不爽。像Boston那种破破烂烂整个downtown找不出三座玻璃楼的地方我更加不可能喜欢。德州那几个城市，赚得少，消费低，其实就跟国内一样，长得也跟国内的城市很像。San Diego说实话我没觉得像个城市。最后，尽管我对Minneapolis很有感情，觉得它比美国很多地方都好。但是这儿还是太小，好多东西都没有。所以结论就是我很不适合呆在美国，嗯。

 

 

USA : Nordstrom to open at Ridgedale Center in Minneapolis December 1, 2007

Seattle-based Nordstrom Inc announced it has signed a letter of intent with General Growth Properties Inc to open a new Nordstrom store at Ridgedale Center in Minnetonka, Minn. The new, two-level Nordstrom will be approximately 172,000 square feet and is scheduled to open fall 2011. "We've been in the Twin Cities area since 1992 and have been fortunate to have great customer support at our Mall of America store," said Erik Nordstrom, president of stores for Nordstrom. "We have long wanted to expand our presence here and are thrilled about this opportunity at Ridgedale." "Nordstrom solidifies Ridgedale Center as one of the Midwest's top shopping destinations. Ridgedale Center is the strongest regional shopping center on the west side of Minneapolis-St. Paul. The Nordstrom at Ridgedale Center will be the retailer's second store in Minnesota. Nordstrom at Mall of America opened in 1992, and Nordstrom also operates a Rack at Mall of America.   Victoria's Secret Replaces GAP in uptown, and a North Face store is coming October 13, 2007 - A whole lot has happened in Uptown in the last two months. Snap Fitness is set to open today at 1207 Lagoon Avenue. Pizza Nea closed its doors at its Uptown location. Sawatdee changed its name to Uptown Thai. Victoria's Secret began construction at their 100% corner location in the old Gap space. Construction at The North Face has continued and most of the walls are up. Homegrown Glass opened at 2827 Hennepin Avenue. Twin Cities Green, an environmentally-friendly home and life products store will soon open at 2405 Hennepin Avenue.
