Not that I know of. 破问题其中还包括Are you sexually active? 我问What does that mean? 她说Do you have sex?

    Weifang, China

    World's Next Great Cities

    by Forbes.

Thirty years ago, Shenzhen, China, was little more than a fisherman's port. A decade ago it had blossomed into a small regional shipping center.

Today, it handles more container ships than Dubai, New York and Tokyo combined, according to data from the American Association of Port Authorities. It also boasts China's second-largest stock exchange.

Shenzhen's meteoric rise from obscurity to global prominence is related to China's rise. But it's also illustrative of how globalization turns secondary cities into commercial powers. Shenzhen ranks 10th on a new list of the world's most powerful emerging cities. It trails domestic neighbors Shanghai and Beijing, which rank first and second respectively.

These cities and others like them are blossoming as traditional powerhouses are suffering from the global economic slowdown. Whether it's due to the ease of operating an international business from Kuala Lumpur or the increased financial services activity in Mexico City, these cities are becoming increasingly important.

    Rybak: Minneapolis economy healthy

There are positive signs of economic activity in Minneapolis and the city is healthy, despite issues troubling the country’s economy, said Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak, who held a small press conference in his office this afternoon.

Rybak also weighed in on proposed light-rail projects, endorsing a line through the Uptown and Lyn-Lake areas.

While many of the nation’s metropolitan areas are struggling in the economic slowdown — Moody’s Economy.com recently reported that two-thirds U.S. metros are in a recession — Minneapolis is not one of them.

“This region, and especially the city of Minneapolis, is doing as well as could be expected and some areas are doing quite well,” Rybak said, citing as examples:

    • U.S Bancorp, Piper Jaffray, Wells Fargo and Ameriprise Financial — all big financial sector companies with location operations or headquarters that “have been focused on the bottom line and done relatively well.”

    • The city’s strong education and health care sectors, which are helping offset weakness in other sectors. “We don’t ever use the term recession-proof, but those industries that are so dominant here are doing relatively well,” Rybak said.

    • Minneapolis also has benefitted from firms deciding to move jobs into downtown over the past few years, Rybak said. He cited Colle+McVoy, Coloplast, DLR Group, Tactile Systems Technology Inc, and Virchow Krause among others.

When such firms move into the city from the suburbs or other parts of the country, they help keep buildings full and property valuations up, Rybak said. That helps prevent a steep decline in commercial property tax revenue, as happened in 2001, he said.

Part of having an attractive downtown is having a solid mass transit system, Rybak said.

Rybak touted the benefits of the ongoing road-construction projects, particularly in downtown and said congestion headaches should be eased when the project is finished at the end of 2009.

“We really apologize to those people on Marquette and 2nd, but when they’re able to hop on a bus in Lakeville and come all the way down a dedicated line on Interstate 35W, and then come into the core of downtown and zip through the core of downtown much more easily, that, I think, will be worth it.”

Rybak also went on record as supporting the alignment of a spur of light-rail transit that would go through Uptown and Lyn-Lake. The 14-mile Southwest transit line is a proposed rail line that will connect Eden Prairie with downtown Minneapolis. Regional transit officials expect it will be the third LRT line in the Twin Cities, after the existing Hiawatha route and the soon-to-be built Central Corridor between Minneapolis and St. Paul.

He said it would be a mistake to follow a proposed alignment along the Kennilworth Trail. because it misses most of Minneapolis. He said he’d support that route if some kind of spur of LRT or street car connection along the Midtown Greenway done at the same time.

“If we can’t do those [Uptown] connections, I would have serious concerns about bypassing those areas in the center of town."

    The University's Financial Health

The global financial turmoil in recent weeks has raised many questions about the University of Minnesota's financial health and the impact on faculty, staff, and students. I want to assure you that, through careful strategic planning and financial management, the University is positioned to weather this current storm. Make no mistake: local and global economic challenges will impact the U—but the University community is responding decisively to ensure our future financial strength, encourage investment in the U, protect our employees, and continue to reward performance.

We are doing this in three ways:

    • First, I have charged U leaders with examining the real and potential financial impacts of the economic crisis on all aspects of our operations, as well as implementing University-wide strategies to substantially reduce costs. For example, anticipating tight budgets to come, a year ago we announced an early retirement incentive program with the express goal of cutting costs while preserving jobs and protecting workers. We must look for opportunities to consolidate administrative offices and academic units, reform major cost centers, and reinvest the savings in mission-critical academic priorities. We have a responsibility to the state, its citizens, our students, and their families to preserve the quality and competitiveness of the University. This will require each of us to be principled and deliberate in our decision-making and to carefully manage our budgets in order to preserve the U's ability to deliver on its mission.
    • Second, since efficient, effective, and transparent financial management is critical to these efforts, the University's senior academic officers are providing strict oversight of the ongoing implementation of the Enterprise Financial System. As I meet with faculty and staff, I hear concerns about burdensome processes and system issues that arise almost daily. I want you to know that I am aware of these issues, that we are working as quickly as we can to address them, and that we are grateful for your hard work in the face of these problems.
    • Finally, acknowledging that the state may face significant budget challenges next session, I believe the University must present an honest and responsible biennial budget request that demonstrates our most pressing needs. Our request focuses on three essential areas of investment: an increase to the compensation pool to help faculty and staff deal with rising costs at home, middle-income scholarship support to help reduce the cost of a U education for students and their families, and enhancement of our research capacity to meet the demand for University resources, equipment, and support by researchers, business and industry, and other higher education institutions statewide.

It is crucial that we work to meet our own challenges, that we improve financial management and accountability at the U, and that we garner strong support to maintain our quality and competitiveness. In a tight economy, the U's unique mission, expertise, innovation, and human capital are among the state's greatest assets. The University was founded in a time of scarce resources to provide the spark the Minnesota Territory needed to become a great and prosperous state. I believe it can be that spark again.

    Dec. 30 Minneapolis--Tokyo--Shanghai (Dec. 31)
    Jan. 31 Shanghai--Tokyo--Minneapolis (Jan. 31)

Body of Lies, Appaloosa, Flash of Genius

    What's typical in US--信用卡

    Target,

    A. Missoni
    B. Zegna
    C. Valentino

    Project Runway

她曾经说自己只给Walmart和Kmart设计过衣服,well, then Warlmart it is.
